Whether you're team Galaxy or team Cadbury, I think most of us would agree that Dairy Milk is the taste of British Nostalgia! Sure, the chocolate isn't quite like it used to be, but there is still nothing more comforting that dipping a bar of whole nut in a hot cup of coffee. I am also a huge fan of the Cadburys muffins and their Pots of Joy desserts - the latter being the subject of today's review!
Normally I'd choose the caramel dessert pots, but with it being Christmas and all that, I had to go for the Snowy Delight this time.
White chocolate dessert over a cadburys milk chocolate layer - not quite sure it screams festive to me, but I'll take it , none the less.
The pack of 4 70g desserts comes in at a pretty pricey £2.50, but I got mine for £1 at Asda, and they're bound to be on offer somewhere.
The dessert is smooth, creamy, and far too moreish! I ate 2 in one go. The white chocolate part was milky and sweet - as nice as the Nestle Milkybar desserts, if not better. I never understand why Cadburys stopped doing the Dream bars, as they were one of the best white chocolate bars around. The milk chocolate bit had a pleasant cocoa taste, velvety and sweet and like liquid Dairy Milk. Both layers went well together and - though I really don't think they deserve to be labelled as "Festive" - they are a really tasty dessert.
I find desserts like this often feel a bit gelatinous, but thankfully that isn't the case here - it's like a pot of melted chocolate - it feels velvetty and smooth on the tongue. I'd get these again, but only if I spotted them on offer, as they are not worth the full price They are most certainly worth grabbing while they are still around, just be warned you can not stop at the one.
